Application

VF405 is an EPS class featuring a non-HBCD flame retardant agent, designed for producing EPS foam with densities above 20 kg/m³. It is ideal for high-quality block molding and shape molding, offering excellent fusion and a smooth surface finish. VF405 is commonly used in applications requiring fire classification, such as thermal insulation materials for construction and architectural contour moldings.

Storage

Products should be stored in well-ventilated areas with temperatures ideally not exceeding 25°C. They must be protected from adverse weather conditions and direct sunlight. Partially used containers should be tightly sealed, maintaining their original closure, and used promptly. To preserve expansion potential, it is recommended to use the product within three months of delivery.

Processing Conditions

Minimum density depends on the type of expander and the pressure/steam conditions.
Silo aging time should exceed 5 hours to achieve high strength in the molded product but remain under 24 hours to ensure optimal fusion.
Maximum silo aging time varies significantly based on ventilation and storage temperature. For specialized guidance, please contact ourt Technical Service.

Caution

Our products must be strictly protected from sparks and flames during processing and storage. It is essential to ground all equipment and machinery to prevent the buildup of static electricity on product conveying lines and during processing. Flammable pentane-air mixtures may form during storage and handling. Therefore, adequate ventilation must be ensured. Please be sure to consult the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for comprehensive safety measures. Vercell products are approved and safe for use in food contact applications.
